I am visiting year 3015, and it’s incredible! The most remarkable thing I’ve seen so far is called the CareBot. It’s a robot for the elderly who need help living on their own. It tells you what medical condition they have and how to treat it, reminds them when to take their medicine, has an emergency call service, and even sends updates to their doctor and family! It runs with a computer inside and has sensors on the outside. It’s about four feet tall and looks like a friendly cyber-human. It uses the sensors to monitor a person’s vital signs and sends that information to their doctor and family over any wireless network. The CareBot has helped hundreds of thousands of people all across the country. The life expectancy of humans has increased by eight years thanks to this technology, along with many other advances in medicine and science! One way you can work towards making the CareBot happen sooner to learn as much as you can. The more you learn, the quicker you’ll be able to come up with ways to make it happen. Another way is to study all the technology you have now and take it apart. See how it works, internally and externally. That way you can team up to design the most efficient CareBot prototypes. Who knows? You could become the inventor of this life-saving robot!
