In the 21st Century 2015 there are about 600,000 African elephants left on Earth. 30,000 to 38,000 elephants are poached every year. That's about 104 Elephant deaths a day. With that rate continuing and growing, African Elephants could be extincted by 2025.
I hereby come from the year 2025, traveling back to the year 2015....
You may be wondering now. "So... Are the African Elephants Extinct, When was the last one killed?"
Well, I am here to tell you no. No the African Elephants are not extinct. They are not being killed, they are not gone! In fact the population of African Elephants went from 600,000 in 2015 to One Million in 2025. One Million I say. They roam the beautiful land of Africa enjoying their home safely.
Well how did we do it? How did we stop Poaching of Elephants? How did we stop the demand for ivory in Asia? Well lets ask ourselves why does Asia want Ivory? The answer is, people there believe that ivory is a form of medicine, a form of medicine that costs a life of an Elephant. So what did we do about this? Simple.... It's an amazing thing, and guess what? It costs about $0. Well what is this AMAZING FUTURE discovery? Education.
We Educated the people around the world about Ivory. How it does not have an effect in medicine, but does have an effect on humanity. Is our duty to make sure that people in the future do not see Elephants as the Dinosaurs of the 21st century.
Spreading knowledge without greed and a care of "profit" is the best thing that has ever happened.
So, 2015.. You don't have to wait, you can make a difference now. Spread knowledge.
